Stephanie and I moved to Canton, IL, in August of 2010. This has been our first full-time work and we couldn’t be more pleased. We have one son, Colton (6), and one daughter, Breanna (4), who are likewise happy to call Canton “home”. We are located in West/Central Illinois, and, though it is the largest city in our county, Canton boasts a modest population of only 14,000. Like our city, the congregation here is not large by any stretch. We are currently composed of 28 members from 17 different families, many of whom don’t live “in town,” but rather the surrounding areas. As with most congregations, we have seen both increases and decreases in our numbers. Over the course of our 8 years working here, we have shared in helping 6 individuals commit their lives to the Lord through baptism. In addition, there have also been several other faithful brethren who have established themselves with our group over that same period of time. Though we may remain small in number, we are not small in spirit. We strive to actively seek after God, help one another to grow in our faith, and spread the gospel message in our local communities. God has certainly blessed our congregation over the course of our time here, and we look forward to many more years of serving the Lord here in this place.
