Rejection and Reception of Truth - Mark 6

For some people, the truth is offensive. It’s not because they don’t understand, it’s because they don’t like what they’re being told. And if people aren’t willing to listen, you move on. We need to realize no matter how perfect our words are, it may be that some people just don’t want to listen. It is not the truths fault that truth is rejected.

"Don’t ever water down the truth. If the truth offends then let it offend. People have been living their whole lives in offense to God; let them be offended for a little while." John McArthur

And for some, the truth is attractive, even if It doesn’t always lead to the results we want. We just don’t know how people will respond when we speak the truth.

And for some truth remains unclear because they refuse to listen. It’s our mission to do what Jesus did - preach the truth. Some will be offended, some will find it attractive and some will refuse to listen. We just have to keep on following the lead of our Chief Shepherd, Jesus.
